Heliosphere
Made in Stencyl.
Had a lot of fun with this one, will keep updating until either I think its good enough, or the program breaks. Hopefully, it'll turn into a bigger project later.
Controls:
- WASD - Movement
- Shift - Slow Movement Down
- Space - Shoot
- F - Fire Beam Attack (Only works when charge meter is full)
- ESC/Enter - Pause

The game feels nice to play, but I encountered a problem where the Menu button made the game black screen and had to restart.
Also the purple weapon could be visually made to look more powerful, like maybe make the projectile bigger.
In the end, pretty good game. Also love the sound effects.
What a very entraining and short prototype! The options didn't work but it didn't hamper the fun the game provided. As general feedback, I do think our spaceship should move a little bit faster on the sides, and I think the hit-registration for the smaller enemies could be adjusted?
Besides that, I will be watching your career with great interest... And if the sound effects are temporary, ensure they remain in the game in future patches as an option.
